Topic: phpShop.org Redesigned

The phpShop.org web site has been updated.

We have updated the web site content to be more to the point and to give visitors a better idea of what it is that phpShop can do.

We have also decided to change the forum software to http://www.punbb.org.  This new forum software platform is fast, extensible, and open source.  We are probably going to go through some small growing pains as we get used to working with it, but our initial work with it has been super.  It has also provided us with lots of inspiration on how to run an open source project.

PLEASE NOTE: The migration to PunBB did not move the passwords over.  In order to access your account please select "I forgot my password"  to have the forums email you a new one. Thanks.

We are also working on a new release of phpShop that we hope to have ready before the end of August. There is alot of work to do, but you should now be able to at least see where things are by looking at the timeline on our development tracking tool.

Re: phpShop.org Redesigned

Wow, site looks great now, and I'm glad to see you're moving on with PhpShop.  I'm a bit of a lurker here, but just wanted to acknowledge the pleasant surprise.

Cheers.

Re: phpShop.org Redesigned

It's the end of November now -- are you still planning on a new release?

Thanks,

Re: phpShop.org Redesigned

Doesn't look like it... was rumored to be out in Late sept 2006? Dont mean to sound ungrateful, phpshop is great, but might be time to move to something with a bit better support. Might have a look at Virtuemart (Joomla extension based on phpshop).

Re: phpShop.org Redesigned

At the very least, critical bugs such as being unable to add categories and delete products should be fixed in the download at phpShop.org. I suggest version .81 just to fix all the documented showstopping bugs here on Edikon forums.
