The Edikon web site has been updated to reflect the nature of the services that we offer at Edikon Hosting in the best way possible. We have spent a considerable amount of time discussing how we wanted to structure the site and we believe we have found the proper format.

The changes that are most notable are as follows:

A simplified presentation of the hosting services provided by Edikon.
An updated knowledge base and support helpdesk that will make access to support much easier and helpful.
A blog to properly communicate our current news, status, and other tidbits we find of interest.

We think that this new structure will make it easier for us to keep everyone “in the loop” and look forward to continuing to provide you with the best support possible. Thank you!

We are constantly looking for ways to improve on the services that we offer our customers. Of all the services we offer, the most important is the technical support that accompanies all of our hosting services. For the past seven years we have been using a support software solution to manage our helpdesk communications and we have been very happy with the performance and reliability of the software. However, while this tool has proven to be a great tool for us, we have recently discovered a new support software solution that we are very excited about.

We introduce our new support solution called Tender. The new solution offers many features that will enhance the support that we offer to our customers. We are very excited about this change and we hope that our customers will be just as thrilled as we are.

During the conversion process we will still maintain the old helpdesk available for anyone that wishes to view their previous support tickets with us. However, all new support discussions will take place on the new platform from here on out. If you have any questions please feel free to let us know.

Edikon registers runners for a cause.

San Juan, PR – May 13, 2009 – Edikon Corporation has developed a state-of-the-art web-based registration system for the “5k En Familia de San Patricio” held in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The race is an annual fundraiser event that benefits the Hospital del Niño de Puerto Rico, the only pediatric healthcare facility in Puerto Rico that offers prolonged care and recovery to patients from 0 to 21 years old.

The web-based registration system allowed event organizers to register all race participants in a more convenient and efficient way. The registration system handles logistics such as assignment of unique bib numbers, RFID (radio-frequency identification) chip assignment and validation, and tracking of each participant’s time and results during the race. The seamless web-based process not only allowed the atomization of all the logistics, but also propelled the race’s overall registration outreach by providing a decentralized, 24×7 outlet for participants to register.

Thanks to this, we were able to quickly register, assign bib numbers, classify runners into their respective categories, and track the performance of over 2,000 participants in a much more accurate and simple way than in previous years, all without any chance of error”, said Miguel A.
